In my work, I seek to capture the ethereal beauty and complexity of the ocean's ecosystems, those hidden worlds that most people will never have the chance to explore firsthand. A reef is more than just a collection of corals and creatures; it’s a community, an intricate network of life that breathes with the currents and shifts with the tides. My sculptures are not simply dry recreations of what’s beneath the waves... they are living representations of what once was, and what might be lost. The delicate textures and organic forms are inspired by the reef’s natural architecture, but my intention is to offer a vision that transcends the limitations of a traditional aquarium. The fragility of the reef, the colors, and the vibrancy... all of it is a reminder of the importance of conservation and the urgency with which we must act to protect our planet’s oceans. What I hope to convey is not just a replication of a marine habitat, but a poignant reflection of the relationship we share with these environments, and the responsibility we bear to preserve them for future generations.
